The Arab Spring’s legacy so far comprises bloody conflicts in Libya and Syria, and a return to military rule in Egypt. Just one of the countries in question has avoided a similar fate: Tunisia, where the region’s uprisings began back in early 2011. It is hoped the upcoming elections will see a further advance towards stability and democratic governance. Will Tunisia actually succeed where its neighbors failed - and become the first genuine democracy in the Arab world?
